Terrablu carers are the best. It’s as simple as that. We only recruit people who are genuinely caring and committed to making a positive difference to the lives of our clients. To make sure we attract and retain the best staff, we offer generous rates of pay and benefits, attractive career opportunities and extensive training. Because we know the best staff deliver the best care.
Our frontline home care teams astound us every day with their commitment, compassion and professionalism. Day in, day out, we find out how they have done something for a client in their own time, stayed over their hours to make sure a client is alright, or found an imaginative solution to a challenging situation. It’s the little things they do every day that adds up to homecare with a big difference. You can read more about the stories from our frontline staff, and the real difference they make to the lives of our clients, in our blog.
Terrablu is one of the few home care providers to have developed a Care Academy to develop and train staff. All new recruits go through extensive probationary training before they are allowed to work alone with clients. They are then encouraged to enhance continually their professional and personal skills. Our extended training covers everything from dementia and PEG tube care to nutritional skills. The quality of our Care Academy was instrumental in helping TerraBlu Home Care win the West Kent Business Award for Innovation in 2009.
We love getting to know our clients and building meaningful, and successful, relationships with them. But it’s just as important for you to get to know us. From the office staff who are your first point of contact to our frontline staff who will be looking after you or your loved one, meet our fabulous team who are committed to helping you and yours live fulfilling lives in your own home.
A career in Senior care can be both challenging and immensely rewarding. You need to be genuinely interested in people and in making a positive difference to their lives. Attitude and motivation is far more important to us than qualifications and experience – if you’re right for TerraBlu, we’ll give you the training you need to deliver quality care to our clients.
"There were enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs. People told us that staff communicated effectively with them, responded to their needs promptly and treated them with kindness and respect."
“I work with a client who can’t talk, but you soon get to read when she is happy or upset. And when she is really pleased to see you she hugs you, or holds your face and looks into your eyes – and then you know that she is glad you are in her home looking after her.”
