Our fabulous Care Heroes are always up for a challenge – but the omelette challenge was one that took us by surprise.
One of our elderly home care clients likes an omelette for her breakfast. In fact, it’s fair to say she enjoys her breakfasts: as part of her home care package, our Care Heroes visit her every day at 11am and prepare cereal, beans on toast, toast with marmalade and her favourite, cheese omelette – it’s what she chooses to tide her over until our carers arrive again late afternoon to prepare her evening meal.
One day our care director, Julia Meade, visited to review the client’s care package and the lady mentioned the ‘omelette challenge’; she had been running a competition with her carers to see who cooked the best omelette. And all our Care Heroes were delighted to take part – especially Ros, who is currently in the lead!
Our excellent home carers can rise to pretty much any challenge – even to see who cooks the best omelette for our clients.
