It’s the little things that make the big difference to the home care offered by Terrablu to our elderly clients and those with dementia. And so many of these little things are delivered by our fabulous frontline Care Heroes, showing their own dedication and initiative.
Like the time when our excellent home carer Gabby went completely beyond her duties for one of her clients. The lady, who has dementia, has a dog. The dog is very important to the lady, but she can no longer walk it, so her neighbours have kindly stepped in to take the dog out.
When Gabby realised the neighbours were going on holiday, she arranged to come by after she had finished work every day to walk the dog. Gabby has a young son, whom she couldn’t leave, so she and her son walked our client’s dog together every afternoon. It’s not part of Gabby’s job description, and it’s not something we asked her to do – but it’s something she volunteered without thinking twice.
It’s the extra mile that our Care Heroes go every day that makes Terrablu homecare different.
