TerraBlu Home Care - Meet our Staff

We’d like to introduce you to some of the people who work for TerraBlu. You might speak to them on the phone or meet them face to face. Richard Gould, Managing Director

Richard Gould, Managing Director

TerraBlu Home Care was founded by Richard Gould in 2002, after looking for quality home care services for his own family. His mission was to set up the best possible care and support service in the heart of the local community.

Richard graduated from Durham University and RMA Sandhurst and has spent his entire career in service related roles. Prior to establishing TerraBlu he worked with developing countries on infrastructure projects that would make a real difference to people’s lives there. He has carried this philosophy into TerraBlu Home Care.

“I have the privilege of working with some truly inspiring people at TerraBlu,” says Richard. “They really care about the people they support and go that extra mile every day, whether it is early in the morning or late at night.“

Julia Mead, Care Manager

Julia Mead, Care Manager

Julia joined TerraBlu Home Care in December 2006 from East Sussex Social Services, where she worked as a Care Officer in Mount Deny’s Hospital, Hastings. Julia has also managed a nursery school. Her specialist experience has given her a strong understanding of what really matters in the care sector. She was promoted to Care Manager for TerraBlu in October 2007.

Julia looks after all care related matters from initial assessments, planning care rounds, staff training, supervision and care quality assurance. "No two days are the same," says Julia. "It’s probably the most challenging job I have had as well as the most rewarding.”

Emma Foard, Operations Manager

Emma Foard, Operations Manager

Emma has been our Operations Manager since 2007 and previously worked as Office Manager at a local Public Relations company. She has held a number of positions as a PA and originally trained as a hairdresser. In her spare time, Emma is a Girl Guider mentor and trainer as well as a Unit Leader for a local Rainbows group.

Emma manages all the administrative aspects of the business and is also our Health & Safety Officer. She looks after our accounts, manages staff administration and ensures our office systems run smoothly.

Of her TerraBlu role, she says, "‘I have found a job that I both enjoy and feel is very worthwhile. It’s interesting and sometimes challenging, but I know that I am part of a successful team that thrives on making a difference to people’s lives."

Kim Murrell, Care Coordinator for Tunbridge Wells, Pembury, East Peckham and Paddock Wood

Kim Murrell, Care Coordinator for Tunbridge Wells, Pembury, East Peckham and Paddock Wood

With over ten years care experience in a range of settings including residential, Kim joined TerraBlu in June 2007. Previously she worked as a Healthcare Assistant on the Acute Medical Ward at a University Hospital. Kim quickly became one of our most sought after carers and was promoted to Senior Carer for Pembury after Kim received Care Giver of the Month in January 2008. In 2010 she became Care Co-ordinator for Tunbridge Wells, Pembury, East Peckham and Paddock Wood.

"I‘m lucky to have a great team of people working with me,” says Kim. “And I can always depend on the people we support to bring a smile to my face!"

Laura Cooper, Care Co-ordinator for Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and the rural villages

Laura has more than ten year’s personal care experience in both residential and at home care. She joined TerraBlu in 2005 and is a highly valued and integral member of our team. Laura was awarded Care Giver of the Month in March 2007 and became a Senior Carer for Tonbridge before taking up her post of Care Co-ordinator in July 2008.

Laura is responsible for all aspects of care in her areas and for leading and managing her teams.
