TerraBlu Home Care – How are we doing?
Our aim is to help improve the quality of life of those we look after so it’s important that we seek their views and opinions. We are always looking for ways that we can enhance our service and an essential part of that process is the feedback we receive from the people we look after as well as our staff and external organisations.
An open and transparent relationship
We actively ask for your opinions through our care forum and our annual survey which were set up in 2008 and give everyone we look after the opportunity to contribute to our annual quality improvement plan. We listen carefully to both praise and criticism and keep you informed about any changes we make. Our care forum meets every six months and has been praised by care professionals for breaking new ground in Home Care development. We are always keen to hear from new representatives so do get in touch if you would like to take part.
We have been actively developing our partnership with Age UK and recently set up a quarterly quality assurance panel with senior local representatives to allow us to regularly review the standard of care we deliver.
Rewarding great staff
We know that providing the best care and support is only possible if we employ the best people. We look after our staff and like to reward them as often as we can. Our Caregiver of the Month award recognises the exceptional care our staff offer and we look forward to the testimonials you send us that help us make the award.
Confidence in the quality of our service
We have established a number of internal performance measurements to ensure we maintain and enhance our high standards of care and support. We regularly measure punctuality, continuity and levels of care and present the information to our Care Forum for their assessment. We plan to publish this information on our website in the Spring.

External assessment
We are registered with and licensed by the Care Quality Commission to provide home care services. In 2008 we were awarded an ‘Excellent, 3 Star’ rating by the Commission for Social Care Inspection. This organisation has now been superceded by the CQC who are reviewing their quality ratings. You can read the TerraBlu report on the CQC website >>.
